We will take a look at how technology changed meetings & events through online, mobile technology, social media.  Mostly local technology companies will come in and speak how they are connecting audiences, engaging and using innovative ways to connect the meetings and events industry.

August 25 & 26 EventCamp TwinCities "POD" Experience.

We will switch gears on these two days to be part of a worldwide experiment.  As we look to hybrid events as an option for our own conferences we need to try new elements for engagement.  As part of EventCamp Silicon Valley we will join in the EventCamp TwinCities off site PODs.  We will be one of nine other pod sites around the world collaborating to make for a engaging learning experience.

• Integrated Gaming:  Gaming is a hot idea in events. Be part of the the Silicon Valley "Pod"  building the entire event on a series of interactive challenges that are tied to the content.
• Social Learning at the Campfire:  Most of what we learn comes from colleagues and just-in-time learning sources our Silicon Valley will be filled with industry leaders and we will help structure the event sessions, gaming and whitespace to encourage you to teach and learn from each other participants. In the TwinCities live event and in our "POD"
• Full Throttle Content: With 20 Content sessions centered on virtual/hybrid, innovation, social media and mobile technology – you will be exposed to fresh ideas, implementation strategies, hot technologies and relevant case studies.  We will watch the sessions as a group and then have discussions.
• New Ideas in the Event Innovation Sandbox: Innovation in events is popping up all over the place. Our Event Innovation Sandbox will spotlight several new and innovative technologies that are starting to appear in events.
• Part of the Podapalooza:  Experimenting with hybrid events and two-way engagement. On the 24th we will be streaming out. on the 25th ad 26th we will be streaming in and out!  :) We will be one of  nine Pods of organized Pods from cities across the US, Canada and Europe.
